I Live on the Manchester side of the border with Stockport's Tameside. What got me into movies were the universal double bills on BBC2 on a Saturday night and deciding one day at school I was going to have a cine projector and a collection of movies once I had left. Never did get the projector but did get a JVC video player with big clunky controls and a wired remote!

I'd say Hammer was my first love due to my dad being a fan and getting me into all the old vampire films. But in the 1990's i fell in love with Italian horror after a lad at school introduced me to them.
I remember watching Zombie Flesh Eaters for the first time and being totally hooked.

And i've also seen Hierro, btw.
And i saw that actress in another great film recently called The Skin i Live In.
    Highly recommended.

Most recent films i watched were the atmospheric Daughters of Darkness and the classic giallo Torso.

Hi, i'd say Suspiria is my favourite Argento as well. I also love the way the colours and music are used in the film. I'll be honest though, i didn't fully appreciate the film when i first saw it at age 11, but over the years i just totally fell in love with it.

Inferno and Tenebrae are also close 2nd's for me. And Tenebrae is my favourite giallo of all time, even better than Deep Red imo.

I also see that you like Spanish horror.
Julia's Eyes was one of the best recent films i'd seen for a long while.
