Halford is, and always will be, the Metal God. His sexuality shouldn't and doesn't matter - as with anyones. If anything, along with some of their lyrics, the whole leather and studs look could be said to have been influenced by that back in the 1970s (possibly!), and the leather and studs is one of the awesome things about the band and metal!

Same thing happened with Gaahl from Gorgoroth people went crazy saying oh hes gay now im not listening to his music anymore be betrayed the Black Metal scene. Oh come on now the man is a very talented vocalist and an amazing painter how can his sexuality change that? Thats right it cant. I have more respect for him now than before he came out as it must of been tough coming out in such a music scene. All this talk of gay men in metal reminds me of this video of Steve Hughes an Austrailian comedian of how stupid it is to hate on gays.
