I've tried doing that thing with the square brackets and the YouTube ID, but it comes up with an empty box that won't play and just says 'JWplayer' or something.
Do you know of any simple solutions that work after pressing maybe one button, or is it all likely to be highly involved computer bollocks?

Just copy and paste the info in the address bar of the video,nothing else needed.
The video should pop up automatically in your post.

for example (*=t of course but otherwise the video will show)

Seems with some videos you have to leave of the "&feature=player_embedded" though.
