I had to cheat and Google it, but don't really see the resemblance between that and the guitar riff in Nirvana's Come As You Are.

*sound of the Countdown clock music* unfortunately, you couldn't answer in the alloted time, so you miss out on the speed boat. Did you enjoy you're self in the show, though? That's the main thing. Is there anybody you would like to say hello to before we get the next contestant on? BTW, the answer was Nirvana with Come As You Are. Gaz dropped the law suit after Kurt died.

Go back and listen to them (the riffs) again. To my ears there is most definitely a resemblance.

Hooray! As I said, I don't really see the resemblance but, because Kurt Cobain was pretty open about all his musical influences, I doubt he would be inspired by a group/song and then deny it.

Not when there's oodles of cash to be lost in royalties. KJ influenced so many bands and I'm sure that he (KC) knew all about them.

Undoubtedly but, like I said, if he was directly influenced, he would have said so. That's what Cobain did with all the other albums, songs and artists which inspired him.

Give 'Eighties' a few more listens, Nos. I can definitely hear a resemblance.

I'm not the greatest fan of Nirvana's music so i'd always side with the Joke.
