Two pics that might confirm a lot regarding Axl and AC/DC.

I wish you wouldn't post spoof news stories off as fact.

A band like Guns n' Roses shouldn't need to cover The Who as an encore. That's really poor in my opinion.

In fact that's a fairly poor set list all round. Where's Estranged, Patience, November Rain, Yesterdays, Get in the Ring and Pretty Tied Up.

Yes and no

Don't forget that Rush covered 'The Seeker' on the 'R:30' DVD and Blu-Ray

Not as an encore though. Wasn't it half way through the set.

I know you love The Who so you'll always want to see their songs played and that's fair enough. Slash and co did a covers album, surely they could stick to the songs the fans recognize as Guns songs (if you get my meaning). Just as Rush encored with Crossroads but it had been officially recorded by the band along with Summertime Blues.

I've not seen the R:30 thing for some time, but yes - 'The Seeker' was played near the end of the 1st set I think

I would imagine a lot of casual people in the audience were more familiar with The Who then they were with the bands that were covered on 'The Spaghetti Incident' CD

Mind you, I do agree that The Who are a strange band for someone like GnR to cover. Maybe it's their tribute to the band who were a) rebels before they were born and b) still touring the States on their 50th anniversary tour
