Movie about AC/DC legend Bon Scott announced and lead actor revealed / Planet Rock

"The early life AC/DC legend Bon Scott is the subject of an upcoming movie called The Kid From Harvest Road.

A collaboration with HALO Films and Protocol Pictures, The Kid From Harvest Road follows Forfar-born Bon Scott?s life from when he moved to Fremantle, Western Australia aged 10 in 1956.

The film is currently in development in Western Australia and production is expected to commence in early 2025.

Writer Stephen Belowsky and co-writer/director David Vincent Smith are leading the project, which promises to ?unveil untold chapters of Bon Scott's life with no objection from Scott's estate.?

Fremantle-born actor Lee Tiger Halley, who stars as Gus Bell in Netflix's Boy Swallows Universe, has been tasked with playing Bon Scott in the film..."

It's looking like Judas Priest are heading for their highest ever album chart placing. Currently the band are at number two having sold double the amount of the act at # 3.

They should comfortably beat the 11,801 sales achieved by Bruce Dickinson's The Mandrake Project, which charted at number three last week.

Judas Priest started their long awaited UK tour yesterday (March 11), with a concert at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Omitting 'one-off' festival appearances, (Bloodstock in both 2018 and 2021), this was their first UK appearance since the Redeemer Of Souls tour in 2015

Invincible Shield easily achieved their highest placing to date at number two.

Fifty-five years after they first convened in Birmingham in 1969, fifty years after their introductory album Rocka Rolla failed to chart and 44 years since their previous top placing, veteran heavy metal campaigners Judas Priest rack up their 18th chart album, fourth Top 10 entry and highest-charting set to date with 19th studio album Invincible Shield scorching to a No.2 debut on consumption of 18,001 units, while easily topping the physical sales chart (17,396 sales). Currently a quintet, their ranks still include guitarist Glenn Tipton (78), bassist Ian Hill (72) and vocalist Rob Halford (72), all of whom were in place prior to their recording debut, although Halford did go solo for a while. Invincible Shield also debuts at No.7 in Japan, while in Germany it is their 23rd chart album and first No.1 dethroning fellow UK heavy metal legend Bruce Dickinson?s The Mandrake Project.

It is the first instance of British acts debuting at No.1 for two weeks in a row in Germany since Dickinson?s band, Iron Maiden toppled Motorhead from the chart summit in 2015.

People may want to listen to the likes of Ariana Grande but they don't actually want to buy her music.
