I'd recently seen Nirvana Live at Reading and listened to Insecticide and From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah, so bought these two:

I got that boxset for Xmas when it was released, it's excellent, I never bothered with the CD seeing as it's merely a best of from the set

I bought Sliver: The Best of the Box after With The Lights Out (which I'm currently listening to) and will watch the DVD at some point this weekend.

I really like the demo versions of the more well-known songs as they are so raw and unpolished.

Yeah, I had pretty much everything (apart from the DVD) for years on bootleg CD's called The Needle & The Damage Done parts 1-3, but obviously the quality wasn't anywhere near as good as the official release.
Back when I first started a band at 16 we used to do rough covers of early Nirvana tracks like Sappy, Pen Cap Chew, Blandest etc, because people didn't know them we'd sometimes pass them off as our own

I picked this up during the week.

I saw Harry play a small bar in Manchester before this was released and she was great fun, seemed like a star in the making. Back then she was known as Dirty Harry. Clint Eastwood sued her so she dropped the Dirty part of her name and re-recorded the album.

Despite positive reviews from the music press and national papers the album failed to make the top 40. She then sang with Cradle of Filth on a cover of Temptation so i imagine her career went downhill from there. A second album was released then nothing.

Probably the rarest Nirvana track i own is a cover of Do You Love Me? from the KISS covers album Hard to Believe. From Southern Records. Nice gatefold sleeve.
