I had the 1 CD version of Live After Death, when I bought it I remember feeling ripped off because the cassette (double) which I used to have had 5 extra songs on it, so I picked up the more recently released double CD version of it. I've never owned A Real Live One or A Real Dead One but I did get the 'Fear of the Dark - Live' CD Single which came off the albums, so I've picked that up, I just need to buy Live At Donnington to finish my Spine Builder set!

Don't know if anyone's noticed but Music Magpie have a lot of great albums at £1.19 at the moment.

I ordered eight last night, including albums by Cathedral, Crowbar, My Dying Bride, Cheap Trick and Megadeth (To replace one i accidentally stood on that now sticks on Sweating Bullets)

They still have albums by Emperor, Ozzy, Behemoth, Aerosmith, Carcass, Superjoint Ritual

Oh cool! Daath...i'll be having that as well.

The two albums above were £1.98 and £1.81 respectively from Music Magpie - no time like the present! ;)

Sigh, swayed again by mind games.

You're use of the invisible mind probe is astonishing.

Yeah, it's a mix of The Joy of Gunz, Kiss The Blade, Sex, Drogen Und Industrial, and Industrial for The Masses Vol. 2. 29 tracks in all and a steal for £3.99 from MM. I hope it comes in decent nick.

I know how you feel having just bought a limited edition Moonspell album from them that normally goes for £25.

I paid just under £8.

As promised ... when I got home there was a cd waiting. Mate said he'd been listening to Big Black and ended up buying this for me. This being Rudimentary Peni's 2nd longplayer Cacophony. A bonny remaster/reproduction/facsimile etc. A rather singular sound:loveeyes::hail::loveeyes:. The more Fall my mate listens to ... the more psychick he becomes .
Ahem.

One Minute Silence? Are you having a dodgy Nu-Metal phase?

Still you made up for it with Cruxshadows.

I'm interested to find out what the later PWEI album is like. It's been in my wishlist for ages but never took the plunge.

Nice buying binge, b_e. :thumb:

Nostalgia! I used to own both of those albums years ago and can remember enjoying them overall so for around £2 each from Music Magpie, I thought I'd give them another shot.

There are some complaints that it ditches some of the sampled drum loops etc. that they were infamous for on their previous albums, but I enjoyed what little I listened to on Youtube so for £2.99 thought it was more than worth it.

Eek! No more 'Sample it, loop it, **** it and eat it'?

Seems to be the case, sadly. Everything sounds a little 'harsher' (for want of a better word) than before. Clint Mansell's lack of presence is certainly felt, although I'm interested to dig into this one in its entirety when it arrives.

Not content with the earlier haul, I also ordered this:

Buying music does seem to be some sort of addiction doesn't it?

I seem to be buying three or four a week now, back catalogue stuff mainly and reasonably inexpensive, but i wasn't doing it this time last year.

I blame bizarre_eye. He's a terrible influence.

It certainly is addictive.

I in turn blame Music Magpie and their ilk for tempting and tantalizing me with their buffet of cheap CDs!

Yes they are also a major factor.

I look and see Aerosmith, Queen and Van Halen albums i don't have and have to physically stop myself clicking buy constantly.
