Fistfull of Dollars was the film I watched as a kid where i realised the score it self had a life of its own,and forever played my soundtrack i got from Woolworths as a kid. [AllCDCovers]_a_fistful_of_dollars_2004_retail_cd-front.jpg Boy did I ever feel stupid when I realized Morricone did the score for The Thing,um it sounds just like Carpenter to me. [AllCDCovers]_ennio_morricone_the_thing_1991_retail_cd-front.jpg On the whole im no fan of classical music but when all synthed up by Wendy Carlos it aint halve bad after all.I had the soundtrack years before i had even seen the movie, and the poster too. [AllCDCovers]_wendy_carlos_clockwork_orange_2000_retail_cd-front.jpg John Harrison has to be the best horror movie composer who is'nt italian,Creepshow is the sound of EC Comics alive. Great choices Ron. I used to have the Fistful soundtrack as a kid...on cassette. I don't recall Creepshow at all. I'll give it another watch this week and see if it stands out at all. |

Yeah it is good. Reminds me of the opening to a Gothic rock album or Misfits gig. |

I don't think I could pick just five, so I'll list five that I always listen to as they're on my phone, not necessarily favourites, but definitely favourites at the minute 1. Suspiria 2. Dawn of the Dead (Goblin version, not stock music) 3. Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II 4. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 5. Tenebre Bonus mentions for Richard Band's Re-animator score, Bear McCreary's Walking Dead theme and pretty much everything John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith or Danny Elfman have scored

Whilst I do enjoy the Hellraiser score, I also have a great fondness for Coil's altenative score which didn't make the final cut. |

A few great soundtracks… no ranking, just chronologically ordered. Eyes Without A Face (1960) – Maurice Jarre El Cid (1961) - Miklós Rózsa How The West Was Won (1963) – Alfred Newman Witchfinder General (1968) – Paul Ferris Dirty Harry (1971) – Lalo Schifrin Penny Dreadful (2014) - Abel Korzeniowski |

Yeah, I quite like that, but I love what Christopher Young did with the first two (and best) Hellraiser's, so it'd be hard imagining them without his scores
