I know what you mean. I work goods inwards in a department store so from 8 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon i gotta listen to the same six pop songs the brain dead radio station plays everyday. It shows how bad a station is when they play the classic section and its a song from 2006 or something like that.

There are a lot of songs I dislike but none of them infuriate me as much as Band Aid, Do they know it's Christmas? It really angers me for some reason.

They were merely dull. They appeared after the brilliant Terrorvision so they never stood a chance with their maudlin ditties.
I also saw them on the Monster tour, it was at Murryfield stadium in Edinburgh. The reason I mention this is that we had Belly, Dreadzone and The Cranberries as support. I guess it shows just how big REM were back then, being able to have as many different well-known bands just to support them.

Ha ha, funny you should mention that song because at the weekend a singer/songwriter friend of mine suggested that various members from our local music scene re-record a new version of it as a kind of charity single, obviously this was after a few pints of lager!

I'm up for doing it though
