I was a little late to the party with the Mc 5,but ever since ive pretty much absorbed everything they've done,
the list of bands who were punk before the word was ever invented seems endless but i should imagine the Mc 5
were quite different compared to other bands at the time.The 3rd album by Mc5 kicks into action with the superb
Sister Anne a teeth rattling gem that never out stays its welcome even tho its 7mins long,in fact most of the
tracks come in at 5 min mark.

Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs - MGM Singles 1965-73
Most famously known for Whoolly Bully and Li'l Red Riding Hood ,Sam and the Pharaohs rip it up a storm
with this singles collection,Sam has a voice like roaring lion who smoked 50 cigs a day,while the Pharaohs
stomp along with every track,Red Hot being a classic example.

New York Dolls - Too Much Too Soon
If ever the term Too Much Too Soon applied then this band definately lived up to this motto,set to be the next big
thing they pissed and drugged and squabbled there fame way into mists of time.Often imatated but never equalled,they inspired
a million 80's hair metal bands.Every track is a winner with Puss `N' Boots being a great glam punk anthem.

Its fair to say there later albums tend to get over looked,theres still plenty of bile and energy left to get even the
most jaded OAP punk pogoing along,at this stage of there career they were trying to keep up with the abundance of thrash
metal and nu punk that was emerging but they could still hold there own with the best of them.Howling at the Moon (Sha-La-La)
being the more traditional Ramones meets Phil Spector in a dark alley with a broken bottle.


Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds - Henry's Dream
its no surprise Mr Cave makes movies,nearly all his songs have some dark story of love,murder and well more murder,double crossing
feuds,machete's,lost love and broken hearts,not exactly gonna cheer you up if your depressed but it will certainly get you in the mood
for when you do end it all.John Finn's Wife sounds like a right slut.
