Those Halloween Hardboxes must look really cool with the spines all together on a shelf although, as bizarre_eye asked, why no Halloween II?

Halloween II is still banned in Germany. The last confirmation of the ban was in 2010.

Greetings!

Given the content of Halloween II against the other films in the series, I find that to be an extremely peculiar decision.

Those crazy Germans! (Present company excepted of course!)

German censors' decisions are as unpredictable as the BBFC's. The Friday the 13th franchise is a great example.

Friday the 13th - FSK 18, put on the index*
Friday the 13th Part 2 - FSK 16
Friday the 13th Part 3: 3D - banned
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter - banned
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning - FSK 16
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives - FSK 18
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood - FSK 18
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - FSK 16
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday - FSK 18

Equivalents:
FSK 16 - BBFC 15
FSK 18 - BBFC 18

* It's treated like porn: you are allowed to buy it as an adult, but you're not allowed to advertise the film.

I think all Friday the 13th flicks are typical FSK 18 / BBFC 18 titles. Period.

Greetings!

That perfectly illustrates how random censorship bodies can be across the world, not just in Germany (although that one does seem to be harsher than most in Western Europe).

Does Friday the 13th: Part 3 contain any more gore, nudity or 'obscene' language than any other instalment in the franchise? Possibly more of one and less of another compared to the other movies, but I struggle to think of a reason why that should be banned and Part II shouldn't.

Simple!
Couldn't find one!

I don't know if it was ever released in the same small hardbox format....
