I doubt there will be any Xmas presents for the kids in the Reaper house this year, unless the crafty man tells them that this disc is their present and he'll just hold on to it for them.

I jest of course Reaper

Nice one Reaps.

I'm guessing the missus will be leaving a lump of coal in your stocking this Xmas...

Very nice, Reaps! That's actually the cover artwork of the original German vhs release, which ended up being one of the early titles getting banned over there in the mid 80's.

Default "Don't go in the house" Eyecatcher release question

Hi,

I got the Eyecatcher release of this movie (which i think is one of the better US-made horror movies from that period btw) and the image has a ghost-like artifact. When there is movement, there's a phasing thing on the screen like watching it in slight slow motion, but the audio is unaffected and synchronised!

Has anyone else experienced something similar before? I played it on a Blu-Ray player, so could the upscaling have something to do with it? Or could it be just my disc?!

D

You should maybe ask your question in the German dvd thread...

Sounds like it's a lousy NTSC to PAL conversion.

You must be right, because a DVD has only ever been released in the US, thus in NTSC format, so they must have worked off that (or rather not worked very much). I hope it gets a better UK release. There may be sexualised violence, but trust me when i say that even Basic Instinct was much much gorier and explicit in this regard!!!
