Drive-In Massacre has been delayed (Amazon currently have it listed as April 7th 2025!) apparently due to it now being scanned in 4K.

This strangely entertaining dreck will never have looked so good!! :pop2:

(well, on home video anyway)

I think with Eli Roth was that when Cabin Fever came out there was a lot of hype that he (along with Rob Zombie) were the new masters of horror, and alot of hype seemed to be coming from Roth himself and his associates. So of course there was going to be backlash.

Personally I thought his Thanksgiving trailer was the best part of Grindhouse but pretty much hated everything else he's directed (although I haven't seen Green Inferno, can't stand cannibal films).

I think the problem is that Roth became the poster boy for 'torture porn' and has suffered ever since, most of his films have been entertaining if nothing else. Most of them have awful characters that you can not smyphaise with but in a horror is that really too important? I know there is supposed to be a least one likeable character in a film but Roth does like to play mean tricks.

Regardless of his filmatic output he is obviously a total horror nerd and a visable one at that which isn't such a bad thing.

Love Creepshow 2-especially 'THE RAFT' !

Vampix 23rd February 2016 09:33 PM

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Creepshow 2 on Blu-ray. I have to agree The Raft is probably the best of the stories contained in the film, although I do like The Hitchhiker as well. Looking at those specs I'm wondering what the hell is an O-card?

It's a fancy-pants term for a slipcover... or it could just be one better than an N-card, but not quite as good as a P. ;)

So that's what an O card is. :thankingyou:

I always thought it was an insert or something like that.
