Yeah, I’ve often wondered if they’re put in by hand or by machine, and thought to myself, if it’s manually, I’d like to give the person a slap

There are so many of them, I'd imagine there is some kind of machine used to put the covers in

Noir-vember indeed. Glad I didn't import the Bogie & Bacall releases from Warner Archive yet. I wonder if they have more noir delights in store for the rest of November.

Let's hope so.

I have the UK steelbook Blu of The Maltese Falcon but will definitely be picking up The Big Sleep.

I also have the steelbook, plus the US Warner Home Video BD, so this might be my third HD copy of The Maltese Falcon!

The Big Sleep is a no-brainer because it's a great movie and one I haven't upgraded from DVD.

I was wondering about Casablanca but seeing as it's just been reissued with the new slipcover and is everywhere at the moment i think it will be quite a way off.

Pet Sematary seems to be another of those curious blue case jobs with the stickers actually on the slipcase itself rather than the wrap. I'm wondering if it's just the Paramount ones that this seems to happen to. Sadly my local HMV's big display of these has vanished, and the new releases were just placed on an end section. Thankfully got the ones I wanted (Pet Sematary, House Of Wax and The Haunting). I'll get Clockwork when it's cheaper.
