I still buy them if I see them in CEX or something, even if I already have the title on Bluray. I can't remember the last time I watched one though.

I have such fond memories of the ol' Vipco that I will look at them( see quite a few on VHS too) but I already have enough of em somewhere, HMV had them in a BOGOF in 2004ish (they were £19.99 each back then) remember getting Nights of Terror and Bronx Warriors for £20, but time has moved on so fast that unless you have a Grindhouse evening or the like, I'd stay away unless they're dirt cheap (and of course they can be cut to ribbons too)

When I saw that this thread had been reactivated I thought, for a minute, that Vipco might be going back in to business.

Seriously though; I have a lot of fond, nostalgic memories of collecting Vipco tapes and then later DVDS.

Even though they were cut, panned and scannned had more dirt and grain than the Sahara and had soundtracks like some ****er was in the kitchen making popcorn......they always got their sleeves, artwork and taglines spot on.
Drawn in and shafted, hook, line and sinker every time I went into Tower Records in Glasgow.
Their 'marketing' tactics were second to none!

No it isn't! This one doesn't have the 'R' rating along the bottom or on the spine (I have both) This one if you read back further in the thread is quite rare, it IS the same however as the very early uk release and these were used for the Danish release too
