Ordered it this morning.

Expensive, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Now, bring on NIGHTMARE

I was only interested in 2 of the 5 I have ordered them. I am also waiting for Nightmare to be announced for Blu for my next CR order.

Which 2 may I ask? I'm curious to know which ones people are interested in

I bought all five because if they are like the first two code red releases then they are numbered on the spine. That is more than enough to kick in my OCD and make me collect them all!
However if they were released by all different companies then The Redeemer and Savage Streets would have been the ones I'd have gone for.

The numbers have been screwed up though, as both Just Before Dawn and Savage Streets have No. 4 on the spine.

Here's the info on the spine numbers, seems there was some confusion with the catalog numbers of the previously released (this year) batch of dvd's as well (if you need that info contact me).

"Code Red releases with the CRDBLU catalog numbers, Blu-ray discs with limited pressings and self distributed by CR, Directors' names in parenthesis and year the film was released.

01 CRDBLU001 -
02 CRDBLU002 - VOICES FROM BEYOND (Lucio Fulci) 1991 Limited to 1000
03 CRDBLU003 - THE NAIL GUN MASSACRE (Bill Leslie, Terry Lofton) 1985 Limited to 1000
04 CRDBLU004 - JUST BEFORE DAWN (Jeff Liberman) 1981 Limited to 3000
04 CRDBLU003 - SAVAGE STREETS (Danny Steinmann) 1984 Limited to 1000 Duplicated use of 04 for Blu-ray releases but full number printed on spine is CRDBLU003 which is also a reused number
05 CRDBLU00X - THE REDEEMER (Constantine S. Gochis) 1978 Limited to 1000 Catalog number printed is CRDBLU00X
06 CRDBLU006 -
07 CRDBLU007 -
08 CRDBLU008 -
09 CRDBLU009 -
10 CRDBLU010 -
11 CRDBLU011 - NEON MANIACS (Joseph Mangine) 1986 Limited to 1200
12 CRDBLU012 - MARY, MARY, BLOODY MARY (Juan Lopez Moctezuma) 1975 Limited to 1000"

I've edited the original text a bit btw, big thanks to Luis over at Latarnia for keeping this updated.
Actually The Redeemer has a fittingly weird catalog number.

I've got a fondness for Nailgun and I know Bill knew the director well and this is a sort of tribute to him. Mary is a no brainer for me personally as I have it on vhs and it was directed by the remarkable Juan López Moctezuma.
Neon Maniacs is just a crazy 80's flick I rented more than once on vhs, pure nostalgia...and The Redeemer is one weird slasher flick, how can I not love a weird slasher?

A look at the spines.
Savage Streets blu may have been an afterthought?

Nailgun Massacre’s awfulness is exactly why I love it so much. I find it riotously funny. I may well end up liking Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary more than I expect to, often the films I’m least looking forward to I like more than the ones I do look forward to. I have heard a few people rank it quite highly on a couple of forums now, out of the bundle of 5. But the trailer didn’t hugely impress me, and I think the artwork is the worst out of all the CR Blu’s so far. I actually think Code Red have done an amazing job when it comes to the cover art of their BD releases, so far. It’s a shame about the numbering snafu.

I hear he’s putting out Terror Circus / Barn of the Naked Dead on BD too. I would rather Scream, I hope that’s following. Not the greatest film, but it has such a spooky atmosphere.
