Each to their own I guess,I like it and don't consider it a poor film.

Don't force me to report that post, sir.

I think it's a really good film. Like The Great Silence, i love that it take place in the winter. I don't remember it to be that gory as i thought it would be (in any case that's not why i like it) but the whole atmosphere is very raw and the "hallucination"-scene is pure genius.

THE GREAT SILENCE is one the greatest Euro Westerns of all. CUT THROATS 9 doesn't come anywhere near.

It's 1:78:1 and the OAR is 1:66:1 but it actually shows more picture than my swedish 1:66:1 release.

The PQ is fine and it has the original italian language w/subs. The english dub is awful.

BUY IT!

A little notice: On my computer it's 1:66:1 but when watching it on my TV it shows almost in 1:78:1. I have never had problems with this before and i have tried every option there is. Weird

EDIT: Your stills shows exactly how my DVD looks on my TV with very small (1cm) black bars.

My TV "corrects" most 1.66:1 presentations to 1.78:1 or thereabouts. It pisses me off hugely. Nearly cried when I put on Criterion's The Night Of The Hunter. I'd almost rather have non-anamorphic version of 1.66:1 films until the unlikely event when I can afford a new telly.
