THE HITCHER is a classic.Hauer was one of the best actors of the eighties.

I watched Arrow's THE THING,and I have to say,the picture is ASTOUNDING.
Better than ANY version I've seen,and believe me,I've owned a lot from the days of tape,all the way to Blu ray.

Curses, I was hoping we would conclude that it was a minor upgrade at best, well that will have to be bought (I did quite like the current BD but... "and so it goes" as Vonnegut said.)

Excuse the crappy phone screenshots, But I think one of the best indicators of how good the Arrow version is, is that even though the SF was a new scan, it wasn’t from the negative, had dnr applied, and was then artifically sharpened (apparently), which resulted in the ping pong ball (below) disappearing

Watching Evil Ed for the first time and.....erm...a little bit impressed but not much, but it got me thinking: Why are Peter Jackson's early films not out on blu? Meet the Feebles, Braindead and Bad Taste, now there's an Arrow box set I'd pay for!
