3. Alligator
4. Pete Walker box set
5. Switchblade Romance
6. Crimes of the Future
7. Patrick

Those are just the ones that spring to mind. I know they're not Arrow for the most part. It's just driving me nuts.

Is anyone else finding these release date slippages annoying?
There has been a lot of slippage lately. The excuse previously was that it was a hangover from COVID but I would have thought that should have eased by now.

To be honest, I'm never irritated by slippage, as I have around 300 unwatched films in my collection... I don't even notice slippages. My motto is, "as long as they turn up eventually, i'm good".

And as for Coffin Joe, I'm really puzzled as to how some review websites are saying the set is great - despite the fact two of the films are in Spanish without subtitles. They obviously didn't watch the set and should be embarrassed. I suppose you can sling anyone a few free discs and they'll say nice things about you.

It's annoying for people like me because if / when the release ends up in second hand or charity shops, I will be hesitant to get it in case it contains one of the defective discs instead of the corrected one

This is the main reason why I have not got the Arrow release of 'Henry' or the 88Films version of 'House On The Edge Of The Park' - both of which are currently in our local CEX

The approach makes a lot of sense for both media companies and consumers. It's like the carpentry idiom to measure twice and cut once.

"***NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE COMING!***

Join us this Friday (January 26th) at 3.00pm BST / 7.00am PT / 10.00am ET for our April new title reveals!"

Suggestions include 'The Silence Of The Lambs', 'The Wicker Man' (Nicholas Cage one), 'Basket Case', 'Picnic At Hanging Rock', 'Critters' (?), 'The Company Of Wolves', 'Return To Oz'

No matter what it turns out to be, it will only be available in the US and Canada, and it will be recalled within two weeks due to problems with the release!!

It's clearly not going to be Picnic at Hanging Rock (currently with Second Sight in the UK and Criterion in the US) or The Company of Wolves (with Shout Factory in the US and ITV - which is notoriously impossible to license from - in the UK)

DVDCompare seems to confirm this: "The subtitles disappear at thirty-three minutes for the remainder of the film. We will make a notification here when Arrow posts their replacement program for those who received early copies."

Don't think anyone on here has bought the Coffin Joe set. If they have they haven't posted it

It is on my ‘to buy’ list, but I held off on the account that there are other sets I want to buy more at the moment. It looks like it’s been pulled from retailers, so I’ll have another look when the corrected discs have been included.
