Probably the RT just guessing based on it being a Christmas special.

That's what I initially thought, but the last two Christmas specials - 'Last Christmas' and 'The Return of Doctor Mysterio' - have both been given a 12 certificate

Picked up the Doctor Who - The Three Doctors collectors set from Amazon. (Hangs head in shame at buying toys ) I've loved the Gell Guards since i first saw them on Weetabix cards in the 70's. Once i found out in the latest Doctor Who mag special on Toys and Games that these figures were no longer being produced i took the plunge.

Love the Jo Grant figure. Very detailed.

Does that mean she shows her knickers at every possible opportunity?

I don't know. The figure won't be leaving the box.

I loved Empress of Mars.

In my opinion it's the best episode in years. The Ice Warriors lived up to their classic monster status and it was lovely to see the return of ...... i'm not saying as i don't want to spoil something that had me grinning like a Cheshire cat.

The whole thing felt like a 70's serial. Brilliant stuff.
