Somehow I can't see the BBFC agreeing to reverse their decision and waive the cut. This cut originally goes back over 20 years. They were asked to reconsider the cut by viewing the film again...

The BBFC say there must be convincing assurances for them to consider waiving the cuts. Simply saying the animal wasn't real may not be good enough.
