Post apoc mullet classic Steel Dawn, the documentary Easy Riders Raging Bulls Simon Pegg's 'autobiography' Nerd Do Well, the Rollerball remake and Brian De Palma's Raising Cain - ooh I do like me a bit of John Lithgo I do.

Not bad for a fiver.

Round the corner in a charity shop I found a 1981 (1st edition 8th impression) hardback copy of Alan Garner's The Moon of Gomrath with a perfect condition dust wrapper - for 50p. Cherry on the cake.

EDIT: The Steel Dawn DVD is very weirdly cropped - for great chunks of the time the tops of people's heads are out of frame. Ah well. Looks like I'm hanging on to my VHS copy a bit longer.

I mentioned this on another thread before, but my local had Spanish found-footage horror Atrocious in stock. It's actually rather good and one of the better found-footage films if you ask me.

I'd have picked up Piggy for a squid. Always wanted to see it. My Poundland is usually rubbish though.

So I looked in my poundand, hoping to find Piggy, and they had nothing. Almost all their movie DVDs have gone. Loads of copies of 'Kill Keith' though.

Err.. no thanks.

In the poundland nearest to me they only have Peter Jackson's The Frighteners and Ole Bornedal's Nightwatch (the original version). It did have Hardgore films but I don't think they have them anymore regretfully.
