Same in my local branch, I love Heavy Metal and I play in a loud Rock band, but there's no need for it to be that loud in a shop!

The problem with my local CEX is not just the volume but the fact it is the chaviest sh*te you have ever heard, but the clientele seem to like it.

Latest haul -

Poundland

Honor and Glory (Cynthia Rothrock)
The Dragon, The Hero (John Liu and Dragon Lee)
Bloodfight (Bolo Yeung)
The Supergang (Bruce Li)
Enter The Invincible Hero (Dragon Lee)

These are on a label called 'The International Martial Arts Collection'. The Dragon, The Hero has already been put out by Vengeance Video, and The Supergang and Enter The Invincible Hero by Cornerstone (Hong Kong Connection and IVL imprints, respectively), although whether the prints used are any different I don't know.

Honor and Glory is a decent enough 4:3 print, Bloodfight appears to be widescreen but a bit ropey (but watchable), and The Dragon, The Hero is not bad at all - god knows I own a lot worse - but is badly cropped to 4:3. Haven't had time to check out the other two yet!

Poundworld -

Feast 3
Boogeyman 3
Storage (been wanting to see this one for a while)
The Horseman (ditto)
It's Alive (remake)
Welcome To The Jungle

I have just got my first 'Bollywood' movie - 'Aatma' (AKA 'The Ghost')

Mind you, I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know if, even at £1 it is a bargain!

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but my local poundland (which used to have loads of films, but doesn't anymore) had Elvira Mistress of the Dark.

A terrific film!

It's also like that in the London Rathbone Place store. Sometimes, you can't hear yourself think for Deathcore music. I like a bit of Opeth but not when I'm trying ot remember what discs I'm after.

Could be worse- you could get music blasting out PLUS condescending staff who seem to think their customers are idiots, like most branches of CEX.
