Slightly off-topic, but have you seen Fessenden's previous film Wendigo, Dem? Both it and The Last Winter share some common themes.

I really rate Wendigo B_E. A superbly crafted piece that reeks with creepiness.

I did a mini review of it a couple of years back. http://www.cult-labs.com/forums/155226-post8309.html

I wasn't struck the first time i watched The Last Winter. I mustn't have been in the mood for its pace structure but with subsequent viewings it just gets better and better. http://www.cult-labs.com/forums/317468-post19873.html

Nice mini-reviews, Dem.

I own The Last Winter on DVD, but haven't seen Wendigo in a while... I can remember liking it, but definitely need to give it a re-watch at some point.

Its a strange one Wendigo. Its either 1p from Amazon's marketplace or commands silly high prices so i've noticed.

I liked Wendigo apart from the naff looking creature, and I liked The Last Winter apart from the phantom carribou. Think I'd like Fessenden's films more if he left out the monsters . . .
