Dead Snow, [REC]2, and Zombieland: Tough call. All were good but not great IMO.

I am going to have to go with Antichrist as my favorite horror film of 2009.

Thirst is beautiful, but not scary IMO REC2 is creepy, in an Aliens kinda way Antichrist is great for pissing folk off with (and makes a great double bill with Fantastic Mr Fox) so itl be Orphan if only for the reveal... |

I have a copy of Thirst sitting on my shelf that needs watching. REC2 and orphan were both superior horrors. I can't class Zombieland as a horror movie but it's a very fun movie and one I like to put on every now and then because it's so laid back. |

Antichrist, The Human Centipede, The House of the Devil was quite a good film and The Thaw was OK if only to see Val Kilmer look fat.

Agreed, The Thaw was a very good ecological horror. Not as good as The Last Winter though. |
