I hope BU release more films like it. They seem to put a lot of time and effort into their blu ray releases and unearth some brilliant films, quite a few of which - like this one - I've never heard of before.
I've seen it before and thought it was a pretty decent film - I tend not the pay too much attention to reviewers thoughts on films anymore, more the quality of the disc. Although, again this is something that is taken to extremes by some reviewers sometimes.

I finally caved on The Nesting, thanks oaxaca (is Currency Converter letting me down, or is it now cheaper to pay in Canadian Dollars on Planet Axel?). I've been wavering a while on The Nesting, the trailer makes it look fantastic, but I remember a lot of old negative reviews. However, a recent review I read seemed to indicate that it was brought to DVD in a really poor and murky state, which detracted from the atmosphere that a movie like this relies upon establishing in order to truly be effective.

I didn't bother checking at xe.com as Axel convinced me with the three simple characters: 20%!

As I bought the collector's edition recently I just finished watching I Am Legend's alternate cut and it was so much better than the theatrical. I remember being so disappointed in it on release. The CGI looks just as bad as it did on day 1 though, I don't know why they didn't opt for makeup instead of that horrible CGI, it really takes something away. With some good old fashioned makeup effects it would have been twice the film, and I'm sure much scarier. As it is it's more action than horror/thriller.

Fingers crossed New York Ripper and Tenebrae arrive tomorrow. If not it's a Planet of the Apes marathon courtesy of that Play.com sale. That or more bloody house hunting.
