It's certainly a toss up between D'Amato & Franco but I think Franco is slightly ahead with the likes of Demoniac & Ilsa Wicked Warden. For the most part D'Amato's films like Emmanuelle In America are like conventional sex films that clobber you at odd times with jarring depictions of sex & violence. This film in particular is pretty tame till the halfway mark & the horse is introduced.Franco's films on the other hand are usually sleazy throughout.Even D'Amato's Anthropopagus looks extremely tame now in the wake of films like Hostel.Emmanuelle Around The World also has a few unpleasant scenes but then again they are few & far between.

I think the artiness of the Rollin films dilutes the sex & violence.I think the best film I've seen of his & most entertaining was The Grapes Of Death.I quite like Requiem For A Vampire for its eerie atmosphere but it is dull for long stretches.Fascination which his fans like is another film I personally found unwatchable not for it's exploitative scenes but due to its pacing.

What about the living dead girl? One i've never seen and im curious about. Grapes of death was enjoyable, but most of rollins films are really slow paced, thus the reason i've held off getting ldg.

My vote would probably go to d'amato with his combination of horror and hardcore porn.

Another director i've been curious about.A few of his films cropped up in the european horror section in the monthly enterprises dvd mag,but were way to pricey.

Peter,do you have a list of this blokes films and the best place to buy them uncut. Cheers!

I haven't seen it either but it's a film I've been meaning to see for some time. I've seen Requiem which I thought was mainly very dull.
