I always found the scene in the original Phantasm where the guy is killed by the flying sphere, quite nasty.Especially when you see his bladder emptying after he's collapsed.  The Reaper Man@Cult Labs likes this.

The Phantasm films are all great weird horrors, I think. <pedantic> Often called a 'franchise', but it's actually a series because genre auteur Coscarelli wrote and directed them all (a movie 'franchise' - e.g. the Elm Street saga - has more than one director). </pedantic> Here's a fine overview of the four movies at Phantasm - movies with balls, and an interview with actor Reggie Banister - Ice Cream, You Scream which might be of interest to fans. I love the first two Phantasm's the most out of the 4. The first one gets the top vote from me just because of that scene where the Tall Man walks past Reggies ice-cream truck. Freaky stuff! I loved the echoey music that was played throughout (notably the beginning). It constantly reminds you somethings not right in the town. The Reaper Man@Cult Labs and Daemonia like this.

| Rank The Phantasm Series
There seem to be a fair number of fans here of this series, my absolute favorite Horror series. Seen all the films countless times. How would you rank them all in your order of preference? For me: Phantasm II Phantasm Phantasm IV: Oblivion Phantasm III: Lord Of The Dead Adore them all though and wish a fifth would get made while Angus Scrimm is still alive. trebor8273 and Rondadoronron like this. |

I do luv II but then again I really luv the first,and not watched the other two for ages,don't know why im posting this really can't make up my mind,oh go on then ill go Phantasm II Phantasm Phantasm IV: Oblivion Phantasm III: Lord Of The Dead i can always change my mind
