NJ is also a class act, especially Satan's Slave, but Walker is still tops imo.

I must say I do prefer Walker too.

House of Whipcord is my favourite.

To me Warren has a more varied, if not smaller output with films like Inseminoid and Prey. Walker seems more, down to earth, almost kitchen sink style horror.

I realize i might not have expressed that very well.

I've still yet to see the continental version of Satan's Slave. According to the IMDB every murder scene features gorier alternate takes. Can those who have seen it verify this?

True,Warren ventured into different zones, and PREY is a classic of what to do with no budget, but Walker gets kudos in my book for trying the 'sledgehammer to the head' shock tactics.

I'll have to pick up that Shriek Show Walker set i think. I sold the coffin box set years ago. (Still got the Warren one though.)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is definitely my favourite horror flick of 1974. It's also very near the number one spot in my top ten favourite horror films of all time.
