just like The Howling is the better werewolf movie...
FRIGHT NIGHT is the supreme '80's vampire movie.

Even outclasses the classic Lost Boys!

Near Dark? Give me Carpenter's Vampires for some dusty vamps anyday!

NEAR DARK is the better film and I preferred THE LOST BOYS when I was a kid but FRIGHT NIGHT is the most flat-out enjoyable of the three as far as I'm concerned - I absolutely love it and it's definitely the one I've seen the most as an adult. In fact I still do not have NEAR DARK on BD but have both Twilight Time FRIGHT NIGHT discs!

near dark is technically a better film than fright night or lost boys, but it just doesn't have the fun factor of the other two, which i never get bored of watching, while Near Dark i might watch every once in awhile.
