I've been thinking about getting the new Forbidden World SE, I saw this years back on the Embassy VHS after reading about it in one of Chas Balun's books. The Embassy tape had a great cover if I remember rightly with a picture of a planet with a big bite taken out of it.Anyone else here (apart from tris, who said he does)) like the movie?

... funny you should mention forbidden world ...

... i just started watching the new shout! factory dvd release last night. i must say, after watching the very queer galaxy of terror i'm pretty damn impressed with this film. i'm about thirty minutes into it and what i've seen so far is loads of fun ...

... i may have spoke too soon when i singled out galaxy of terror as being the best alien rip-off. we'll see ...

I'm no longer thinking about ordering Forbidden World, I've just ordered it from Amazon. The temptation was too great, looks like another cracking DVD package from Shout! Factory. The Piranha SE is next on my list, the DVD comes with a particularly cool looking lenticular slipcase (something the Blu-ray equivalent doesn't have apparently).

Bless Balun....I think he coined the wonderful phrase "barfing alien" in his writing on FORBIDDEN WORLD!
