The Untold Story was submitted to the BBFC about 2 years ago but was never classified because the distributor seem to have lost interest after the BBFC requested cuts to the infamous chop sticks rape scene - they had no problem with the children being slaughtered at the end. Have only seen the cut version myself but despite some shocking scenes of violence it is a pretty good film.

Well it remains to be seen what the BBFC would make of the sexual violence in HOLOCAUST today, the last time the scenes clearly infringed their sexual violence policy. Looking at the BBFC's CA for The Nanking Massacre there is no mention of the sexual violence being particularly strong, because they would usually put something like "contains scenes of strong sexual violence".

If you feel strongly about the BBFC getting it wrong about the cutting of the animal cruelty scenes in HOLOCAUST, Vipco, then perhaps you should email them and tell them. It will be interesting to see what their reply will be. Actually I know what it will be.

The best way to judge for yourself is to see the movie rather than go by something on the BBFC website.

However checking for myself it does say "Contains strong bloody violence, some sexualised"

But still, the only way to judge is to see it for yourself.

It's good, it's also the least exploitive of the Men Behind The Sun series - although it does have a graphic, but silly forced abortion.

Well the news over at the BBFC is that Black Horse have re-submitted the cut version of HOLOCAUST. Guess we'll never know for sure now if any of the cuts would have been waived. Great shame really as I was eager to see what would happen.

Shame that. For the price they're paying for a resubmission they should have submitted the full version instead.

I can't have seen TOO much being waived but it would have been interesting to find out.

Let's hope someone submits the uncut Cannibal Ferox next time around. It wouldn't get through fully uncut but quite a few of the previous cuts would be waived now.

I still debate even now which is more brutal out of Ferox and Holocaust. Agree that Ferox would be ****ed over by the BBFC, especially all the animal stuff.

I would say Holocaust was the more brutal of the two. Not a lot in it though.
