It looks like Roger Corman is re-making 'Death Race 2000'

More than a small hint of 'The Hunger Games' going on in that trailer methinks!

'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' was aired yesterday (20th October) in America. Us Brits have to wait another week for it!

Of course, the message boards and YouTube are full of it!

Anyway, here are some of the songs:

The Time Warp

Sweet Transvestite

Hot Patootie

Touch-A Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me

Don't Dream It - Be It

Justin101 26th October 2016 08:08 PM

This whole Suspiria remake thing is getting old, but this very quick interview with Tilda Swinton (who will be playing Madame Blanc) is actually quite interesting. Perhaps it'll be OK?

Tilda Swinton's about to start shooting Suspiria film - but it 'isn't a remake'

It will feature salsa numbers and will actually be a sneaky remake of Lambada...

I don't really like the style of music they have done the songs in, however I do like the production design and costumes etc.

That Rocky Horror remake is on Sky for those that are interested.

Great Scott!... I just watched it and feel like my life has been sullied by this abomination. Makes Gus Van Sant' Psycho remake look like a masterpiece. Awful beyond my vocabulary. This isn't even a turd, this is a dribble of yellow infected mucus sliding out of the ass crack of that bloody terrible Laverne Cox.

All prints of this should be tracked down and put on top of bonfires.

The original is not a good film by any stretch of the imagination. The acting is abysmal, the pacing is all over the place, the effects are awful, the plot is virtually non-existent and most of the jokes fall flat

BUT...

it captures a moment in time. The same criticisms could be made of any number of science fiction films from the 50's - the kind of films that Rocky pays homage to. It's a film geek film, made by film geeks for film geeks. The cinematic references appeal to those who get them, while others are scratching their heads.

'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' could only have been made in the 1970's, when glitz and glamour ruled the (music) world. Don't forget that homosexuality had been made legal (if you were over 21 and on the privacy of your own home) less than 10 years earlier in 1967, and the Stonewall riots were even more recent, in 1969. For a lot of young (and not so young) gay and transgender people, Rocky was the best (and only) was of expressing yourself

On celluloid, Rocky Horror is a mess, but on the live stage, it comes into it's own. That is the best place to experience it

It's certainly no cinematic masterpiece, but The Rocky Horror Picture Show is, in my opinion, hugely enjoyable. It definitely helps if you are in on the joke and no Richard O'Brien intended it to send up the overly serious dialogue and unintentional humour in science fiction films from the 1950s, '60s and '70s.

Like you say, as The Rocky Horror Show with an audience wearing any combination of lab coats, stockings, suspenders, garter belts, Basques, boob tube and hot pants, French maids outfits, ill fitting suits and bald caps, many carrying water pistols, confetti, torches etc., it takes some beating for an evening's entertainment!

Lot of hatred for this already online. I'll give it a shot no doubt, but without the music and cinematography of the original, I can't see it being any good

At least the remake can't water it down as there's no blood and guts to water down.

As you alluded to, I would rather studios put more effort into making films from around the world widely seen and well-publicised than look to remake them before they are a year old.

I'm a big fan of the first two animated Ghost In The Shell films and I am not impressed by this trailer. Perhaps the end result will prove me wrong?

Just told my other half, because White Men Can't Jump is one of her favourite films, she's not happy

I don't dislike it or like it; I have no feelings either way.

If it is made as a sports movie with professional athletes (as it seems to me) it could be really exciting, perhaps a little like William Friedkin's Blue Chips or Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday.

On the other hand, if they are going to make a drama with athletes who can't act, that would probably end badly.

Yep.

The two are very similar when all is said and done, although The Raid certainly wins out on brutality. Both pretty good films tbh.
