Most importantly The Grey was a bit of a dud! |

I agree there is always going to be remakes and odd one or two I don't mind and some turn out pretty good and decent .. But it seems like just about every film in existence is getting a remake or a TV spin off . saying that a lot of TV spin of turn out watchable . Its the other way round turning TV shows into films that tend to be awful. |

If you didn't post this endless stream of links then we wouldn't know about these films therefore would show no interest in seeing them. |

At the cinema today before Life, I remember the trailers for these films making them memorable: Baby Driver (Edgar Wright) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2z857RSfhk Free Fire (Ben Wheatley) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_yyIfhhR8I The Belko Experiment (James Gunn) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP2Ow2CX6OQ |

What did everyone thing of the IT trailer? I think it looks pretty good and Pennywise looks scary, particularly the scene with Georgie in the cellar. Does it look to you all like they have transposed it from the 50's to the 70s/80s and that the 'Grown-ups' part might be in modern day rather than 1985? |
I think it looks really good, I'm a big fan of the TV adaptation, and was worried that Tim Curry left some big shoes (no clown pun intended) to fill, but I've got a feeling that Bill Skarsgård is going to be good as Pennywise  |

The kids part is supposed to be 1989, so the next part will be modern day |
i'm quite excited for this |
Apparently the 'Blood Feast' remake is having trouble with the MPAA It seems that it has been submitted on 3 occasions, and has been refused an 'R' rating every time MPAA vs. Blood Feast Round 3: Still Too Gory for R Rating; Heading Back for Round 4 |

No idea what has been removed, however, but according to the distributor, only 'minor changes' have been made https://i1.wp.com/bloody-disgusting....ting.jpg?w=909 |

Guessing Stephen King is in vogue after the success of It. Maybe remake some stuff that wasn't great to begin with? The original Pet Sematary was pretty good, so not sure what else they could do? |

Perhaps not condense 7 million pages of Dark Tower into 90 minutes though... :skull: |

Once more, only a link... Why not add a few lines... what you think about it... how you feel about it... why you posted it in the first place... To be blunt, posting only a link is quite superficial and trivial. It increases one's number of posts (and possibly the number of likes as well), but apart from that - is it really necessary... --- With regards to the thread's topic, I generally think that it is quite disappointing to see so many remakes of classic films and less and less imaginative new productions. |

At least I took the time to note what it was, so that people could make up their own minds whether they looked at it or not This thread is about remakes, and the story concerns a remake, therefore it is justified in putting it here Quote:

I appreciate you adding text to give the link context, but it would be even better – and this goes for everyone – if you could put the first paragraph (or few paragraphs, if not the whole article) to make clicking on the link even more optional and say if you have any feelings about the proposed remake. At least that way there can be a discussion about the project, not the post. I haven't seen Hocus Pocus – I'm not sure why – so I am ambivalent about remaking it. I can understand why those who were involved in the original film of consider it a childhood favourite the less than enthused about the idea of remaking something they hold dear. |
I’ll say that they Hocus Pocus remake gets the same reaction from ne as the Beaches and Dirty Dancing remakes......[emoji90] [emoji23] |
I'm quite amazed that the remake frenzy is still carrying on unabated. I would have thought they'd be running out of classic horrors to be remade. It won't be long before they start remaking the remakes.... |
