I dont think I can afford to get this, but the quality of my version is so bad (the night scenes are almost unwatchable) that it puts me off wathing them . If it get a bl-ray release I will have to sell an organ to get the cash though as I love me some Lone Wolf and Cub and think all that amazing Japanese scenery would look spectacular in HD.

Will be all over this. I've only ever seen the second one (River Styx) and Shogun Assassin, which is included in the set.

Christmas sorted.

Recieved my set this morning and thought I would give pepole a little preview so they can get an idea of how the set looks. It's a sturdy outer box with 7 thinpaks inside

The 7 cases inside all feature art showing LW& Cub

The inside of each case features the original japanese artwork and for Shogun Assassin, the original U.S/U.K art.The inside also features the linear notes and also the spine inside is the same as the outside of the case so you can flip the art over if you prefer to use that (and I do )

Super Happy

The original Japanese sleeves are definitely more attractive imo and i know i'll be using them on the front of the DVD cases when my own box set arrives.

The English language covers look more than a little lousy. They give me the impression these releases are nothing more than cheap bootlegs!

My girlfriend has just been given a not-so-subtle hint to buy this for me this Christmas.

I think the packaging looks great and has been handled with care. The Japanese covers are cool and look way better - they look as if they are taken from the original posters.
