I picked up Return Of The 5 Deadly Venons AKA Crippled Avengers from Amazon marketplace. I think this is my favourite Shaw Brothers films I've seen so far.

Halfway through their Killer Snakes. Hideous amounts of animal cruelty suck any viewing pleasure out it pretty quickly. Can't imagine this ever got a showing in UK.

Killer Snakes finished. A rather unpleasant viewing to be honest. Far too much animal brutality to be seen as escapist entertainment. 2/10. Impossible to recomend.

I've gotten very addicted to Shaw Brothers films in the last years, I got about 200 of them now. My favourites are:

The Duel
14 Amazons
Usurpers of the Emperors Power
The Delinquent
Mercenaries from Hongkong
Secret Service of the Imperial Court
The eight diagram pole fighter

Can anyone recomment Ambush, Long Chase or Tiger Killer? These might be my next purchases.

I haven't seen those films,If you end up getting them let me know what you think of them.

I have around 200 titles as well.I still didn't no where near as many as I wanted as most SB titles disappeared as soon as they were released. Some titles went OOP the same day they were released.I would highly recommend picking up any SB titles you can asap as they're getting to be hard to find these days.Once these films are gone I don't see them being available ever again.

If any of you other SB fans could recommend some good places to buy some SB that would be greatly appreciated

When I order new ones, dddhouse is the best shop. It's the cheapest, reliable and they have the biggest selection. I also by lots of them on ebay and in forums. Luckily I've been able to track down most of the OOP Shaws I wanted to watch. I even bought ten dramas and operas because they were very cheap. I can also recomment the book "the shaw screen" by the hongkong film archive, which is cheap but very interesting. What are your favourites so far?
