Default Ip Man 2

Watched this with my mate last night and all I can say is that we were blown away. Simply the best kung fu film I have seen in a long time. The scene in which Ip Man has to prove himself with the other masters so he can open a school in Hong Kong is worth the price of admission alone. Choreographed and starring Sammo Hung (Donnie Yen is excellent again) this has to be seen to be believed.

Its a good film, not as good as the first but still worth having. I just found that they seemed to run out of ideas half way through and decided to bring in some foreign devil boxer just to pad it out, it was like a HK version of Rocky 4!

Yes, the Rocky 4 comparison is definitely there. Strange, eh? I actually prefered this to part 1 and the scene that I mentioned before in which he has to prove himself to the other Hong Kong masters is truly breathtaking!

Ip Man 2 is fun as long as you can get past the political sledgehammer. You can't help but see the Rocky comparison though. I still prefer Ip Man overall, but Sammo Hung's performance and fight choreography give the second film a much needed boost.

Yes, Sammo is the best thing in the film, he is definately one of the best choreographers and has been for many years! He is currently doing a new film called Choy Li Fut, another Southern Chinese Kung Fu Style, this looks promising too...(how do you embed youtube clips on here?)

Wow! those Ip Man films look great. Will have to keep my eye out for them at a good price. The first one is only £6.99 on BD online, not bad at all.
