I'm quite content sticking with Arrow's delicious DVD set for the above reason and really can't see myself investing in the BR version. Pretty much the only current HD title the company has issued that i'm not particularly interested in picking up.

Ah yeah. Unfortunate that it's currently £4.50 more expensive than the original bluray release (which I've just ordered).

yes. Bit of a shame that the Arrow Blu Ray hasn't the commentary tracks. To be honest I don't think the BR is all that great and I would have stuck with the Imperial Edition if I had realised the BR didn't have the commentary tracks. The whole Caligula experience is a guilty pleasure movie. Like Highlander 2 and Johnny Mnemonic, etc Horrible crap but sort of fun at the same time!

hi im new here and joined up as ive been a fan of the arrow bluray collection and the fantastic packaging but after gettting 7 or 8 i stopped for a while - now just spent the best part of £100 to catch up but the one im missing is caligula.

now im a little confused - there is 2 versions available - the original and this new unlimited version. the weird thing is on play (and most other sites) they have the original version listed but states no reversible sleeve or booklet/slipcase but the picture shows it does, and the new version is just a regular bluray case but it lists the usual extra content.

so i just want to make sure i buy the best version - for me thats the older one but whats new about the unlimited version except for no slipcase and from what i gather at least one less artwork to choose from?

thanks to anyone who can help me.

Hi Stingersplash, welcome to the forum.
The unlimited versions basically miss out the cardboard box and the poster but it's the same disc and content. Having a look on find-dvd.co.uk the version you want is only £11.95 at thehut.com and Zavvi plus there are 10% off codes floating around at the moment too. I might have a spare one in my emails somewhere. PM me if you're interested and I'll have a look

Edit: after looking on Play its only £9.49 so you're definitely better off there.

Yeah thanks for replying I did a bit of research on this forum last night and worked it out. I did actually order from zavvi but 90 mins later cancelled and bought from play. Most other places are out of stock of the limited one.
