Me neither

Im sure a blu ray will arrive eventually in the US so i am going to wait for that.

It's a real shame arrow wont release this on blu as i think they are missing out on a lot of potential custom both here and from the US

Yeah, I mean they must be remastering them in High Definition, like most if not all remasters happening the last couple of years. Sure, not ALL movies make a HUGE jump in details depending on the filters and the focus used when they shot the film. But everything I have seen on BD so far the last 4 years have been an upgrade even if it´s minimal.

And "Demons" can´t look any worse than "Caligula" (one of the lesser looking BD:s I´ve seen), and that one got a BD from Arrow

Not sure yet if I´m gonna get these or wait for the BD:s that Anchor Bay mentioned a while ago.

Yup, Blu-rays would be fine ... and yes, Caligula is really one of the lowest quality Blus I've ever seen, though I still think that it's (slightly) better than a reguar DVD. BUT if Arrow does a new transfer, they won't do that in PAL resolution I hope - standard at the time should be 4k or 6k - so a Blu-ray should be possible to get.

Almar, work your magic

If the material isn´t good enough for Blu-Ray, then the material gotta be in pretty medioker quality.
Are they even working from the original negatives?
If they ARE, there should be enough of fine details to warrant an Blu-Ray.

I mean, they can´t be working on an old 480i/p master?
Oh well... we´ll see what happens.

Almar, use your Jedi Powers instead

I only have the old ABUS non-anamorphic first one. Didn't buy Demons 2 because, well, it's Demons 2. Somehow I feel there's a spot missing for it though. I'll definitely upgrade Demons and am starting to sway a little towards Demons 2...

If I buy Demons 2 and it eventually comes out on Blu, I want a coupon saying 'Thank You, We understand that you've already spent far too much money on what we realise is a pretty crap movie. Here's a fiver off the Blu-Ray for your trouble so now you can not enjoy it in HD.'

I'd say that if they're doing a new transfer and if that isn't good enough for Blu-ray, we shouldn't even expect stunning DVD visuals.

@ Almar: Don't you shop in the same store Harry Potter does?
