You'll just have to buy the Code Red later this year.

Well, I hope it comes before summer
I believe they have, but every edition takes time to build.
I believe the final planing is done.
But the remastering, authoring, special features, it all takes time.
Then you have to consider the schedule of the pressings of the discs and the package.

There are some movies out there that have a 2 year remastering.
If you´re doing this from scratch, first you have to scan the film to an HD drive.
Then, in many cases, you go frame by frame to restore the print.
You can correct and set the first frame of every sequence and then paste it to all the remaining frames of that scene but the whole process takes time because a movie has many transitional scenes.
Then there is the correction of the color.
Then comes the sound, and let me tell you that this part takes many hours if you are revising/creating a mix.

And we are not talking about the extras, that suckers can take some time.

Believe me that this process takes time.

VHS was a fast process because of the definition of the format.
DVD was/is a much slower process. Blu-Ray is even a slower process.

There are reports on some restorations, that a particular scene took some 2 weeks to get it right.

That leaves the question:
Do you guys want something rushed so you can complain about it later?

Or...
Do you guys wait some more time to get a great edition?

Personaly, I don´t mind the wait.

Gotta agree with you Springjack and well said. I'm backing the latter option.

What with The Beyond and Vamp on the way another potential Demons delay doesn't bother me in the slightest. Staggered spending is better for me than too many Arrow titles coming out at the same time.

I mind repeated false release dates. This goes for all companies. Don't set a date until the transfer work is locked down, period.

If you checked past dates, Demons was to be released last year on DVD.
The date changed because people demanded a Blu-Ray.

Arrow was kind enough to check for new materials.
There´s a large difference between a DVD and a Blu-Ray conversion.
Optimum materials for a DVD release may not be suitable for a Blu-Ray release.

If the date changed that´s Arrow´s commitment for delivering the best possible print.

Also, I believe Arrow only set a date for last year and they didn´t confirm any date beyond that besides 2011.
If you count the dates listed by the retailers then you should show your point to them and not to Arrow.

Can someone from Arrow confirm that the release date for Demons 2 is still for February?

It´s just for me to organize my pre-orders.

Thanks.
