Almar, can you elaborate on what sort of restoration work is being done and what the problem was? Thanks.

It's a question that I was pondering this morning! The work has been split between two companies but I'd like to get a little story together to cover it all off so we can all understand how this worked - bear with me as I do some digging.

Sorry to go off topic, but i received an E-Mail the other day from HMV informing me that my Deep Red BR pre-order had to be cancelled as this title is apparently deleted!

However, i was reassured that efforts were being made to locate this release from other sources. HMV will no doubt have a hard job finding a copy of Arrow's DR HD edition seeing as we don't even know if Argento's seminal slasher will be issued on BR and there's no word on Arrow even starting work on the release in question!

This is what happens unfortunately - you need to book in titles with retailers so they can plan ahead but then you find materials aren't right etc. Deep Red will happen and a BD is under serious consideration if it can be done right.

Great works always take a long time.

I just hope Arrow's DR release doesn't take too long!
