Does this mean that the replacement programme has now officially ended, as Arrow no longer have any replacement discs left? So Arrow have total zero in stocks of the corrected disc? All discs have been shipped out to retailers? The Arrow retail site doesn't hold any stocks? If so, I'm going to hold off buying this until reports filter through that Amazon, HMV et al are all shipping correct discs. Can't afford to buy twice or want to jump through hoops with a retailer trying to get a 'fixed' disc to replace the incorrect one. Sorry Arrow, really want to support you and was going to buy this this week, but I'm wary now of doing so.

I would hold off like your thinking of doing, I will probably have to buy another or end up dealing with amazon over the phone for a while just to get a replacement considering there is nothing arrow can do, I still don't see why they have no replacements left ... this is probably the biggest ****-up and pretty much one of the only arrow have had so far. I only ordered my copy a few days ago and received it yesterday.

It is probably a very expensive proposition for a company like Arrow, but a product recall should have happened as soon as this error was noticed. It would have saved a lot of complaints to and about the company, less hassle for customers, and saved postage costs on replacement discs.

I haven't even heard anything back from Arrow, which is pretty disappointing to be honest. Even a confirmation that they received my email, let alone a note as to whether or not they had any replacements left would have been nice.

I'm awaiting official notice on what's happening here and Sarah or I will let you know when the written word from Arrow HQ. However, I imagine this turned into something much bigger than Arrow ever anticipated and, with the benefit of hindsight, they may have initiated a product recall -- who knows?

I think it spells trouble at the moment. Like I said on the other thread, there seem to be plenty of B&W copies in circulation still and corrected ones seem to be in the minority. Has anyone here actually bought a corrected one yet? I have no idea when I'll order mine at this point.

As mentioned in the first post in the other thread, Arrow anticipate all incorrect discs to be out of circulation by September 1 when only correct discs will be available to buy. However, I'd wait for official word before deciding when to buy.

that was one of my first thoughts as to why they didn't simply recall all stock, it may have cost them a lot to replace everything but thats what they had to do anyway and they would have saved themselves a lot of complaints and money again on packaging and in all it has damaged there reputation slightly tbh I kicked up a bit of a fuss when they told me I wouldn't get a replacement or compensation in anyway and im one of the not so angry people i've seen what some people have said and they are really pissed.

Haha. Catch 22 - if No one buys them, then in circulation they will stay. |
