Yeah, there's a problem on the 4;3 version. The characters lips move 15 seconds before the dialogue comes out.
This is the problem that Almar said was being fixed.
The widescreen version is fine.
Cracking film-cracking package.

That ending doesn't pale no matter how many times you watch it.

Oh dear.Apparently it should really be seen in 4:3 as the widescreen framing is a bit tight.Looks like I'll need to pick up a copy when it's fixed.

Hmm the 4;3 version looked rather STRETCHED vertically.....I prefered the other version actually.

Neither the 16:9 or 4:3 are perfect -- it looks as if it should be somewhere in between, probably filmed in a 1.66:1 ratio which means that neither the 1.33:1 frame, nor the 1.78:1 aspect ratio will do it justice. Only George Romero nosferatu be shown and I can't recall ever reading or hearing him say which it should be in an interview.

I also prefer the full frame version to the widescreen one so will buy it again when it comes out in a fortnight.

I'm sure in one commentary Romero stated it should be 4:3. That's certainly what I've heard for years as well.

I can believe that. Maybe I'll need to listen to the commentary again to see if it's on there.

According to IMDB, it's 1.37:1, shot on 16mm and blown up to 35mm.

I don't always trust the IMDb, but that is probably quite accurate judging by the picture quality, the budget and the framing.
