I don´t belive how some of you gladly accept a DVD-R.
A lot of asskissing going on around here.

If I pay for a DVD I want it to be a real pressed one, or else I could just print the disc art and burn out a rip at home and it would be the same thing.

I´m glad that Arrow will send a REAL disc to the ones who got the DVD-R.

A DVD-R isn´t worth ANYTHING and will eventually stop working.
And that would be a real bummer if the disc is out of print and costs 150 dollars on ebay when the time comes

This makes me think... If I never had complained about the DVD-R would Arrow come forward to say they will send the real disk later?

I don´t understand why do we have to wait for the real ones to be printed. From my believe this error was corrected already because some online retailers already sent the corrected ones. From what as been said, this error was corrected in the beginning, meaning the factory already has the right master.

Probably not

Yup, instead of a DVD-R they could just have sent one of those corrected discs.
Something just feels lazy and cheap about it all.

I love Arrow, but they screwed up this time. And I´m glad there are a few of us that dare say so

I never said they didn't screw up and because I didn't, it doesn't make me an ass kisser because I'm happy with the dvd-r. And what's with all the winking?

They must know something we don't...

Either that, or they fancy each other.

Having spoken with Arrow they have told me the the 'uncontaminated' batch of pressed dvd's have not been delivered from the factory yet, i'm pretty sure that they would only send a copied disc as a stop-gap measure. I've asked not to be sent one as I just enjoyed the film with the 2.0 soundtrack and I can wait a few weeks for a final replacement.

Means I´m not dead serious with the asskissing etc.

I just found it a bit odd that many seemed to accept getting a cheap DVD-R back instead of a REAL DVD and not even complaining about it.

I would feel ripped off when paying for a manufactured disc and getting back something cheap like a DVD-R.

Now we know though, after the complaint, that Arrow is just sending it out as a temp disc, so that´s good news.
Just a bit odd that the DVD-R didn´t come with a note saying it´s a temporary replacement.

Sorry for not being in the full here but there's not pressed replacement disc for Martin yet, is that correct? Even temporarily, I really don't need a DVD-R - those always make problems in my drives.

I can wait for a real replacement disc - for a "termporary" solution I can just watch the Widescreen version which is the one I'd watch anyways since I don't like 1,33 frames transfers.
