Like I said, 2D is the original and mandatory way to watch this, 3D is just an alternative experience and I´m glad I did watched this way also.
I can understand that at a cinema, it would be an amazing experience and a lot of fun, but like Friday The 13th 3D and Journey To The Center Of The Earth (fun little movie), thing pointing at the screen or flying at the screen annoy me at home

Hell seeing this movie in any cinema would be an experience for me.

I can't imagine any joy in seeing extra CGI splatter effects, plus a 3D conversion added to a film that is perfectly fine in its original 2D format. It's like Lucas tinkering with Star Wars (a load of bollocks).

I saw the theatrical at the pictures and that was a terrific cinema experience too - and really fresh at the time. Didn't need no damn tinkering either.

Your examples denote two very different examples of home cinema 3D.

Seeing this movie in the the theater is really an experience, but you can multiply it when watching with a Japanese audience... they´re really into the thing... very crazy! One of the guys in the front row even stood up and started screaming when the students were informed of the rules.

There are lots of joy if the tinkering isn´t that obvious... we´re talking small additions to benefit the 3D conversion... by your remarks I guess you don´t like the Special Edition version (aka Director´s Cut, a false statement) because that has some tinkering on its own!

And like I stated before, this movie is ideal to be watched in 2D, and I don´t even consider a 3D conversion tinkering, just an option of choice.

I must admit I have two copies pre-ordered. Was going to keep one wrapped and open the other one. As it happens, my cousin hadn't ordered it and now it's too late for him............so he will be getting one of my pre-order copies.
