Well, I'd argue that Dante is more well-known than Speigel and hence his input would seem a valid thing to do to attract punters. What was the film Dante talked about anyway? Was it something he's been a very vocal fan of? That might explain his involvement.

I bet that this is something Spiegel was involved with. That's my opinion anyway.

With the upcoming Evil Dead remake (and a teaser that seems to be getting good feedback), Evil Dead II already having a UK BD release, impressive sales of the Steelbook of the first one and the sheer fact that the rights holders have released the shit out of anything Evil Dead related, what is there, 3 seperate BD's of the first one and one each of the sequels, at least 10 DVD's including Necronomicron editions plus other formats over the years, they're NEVER going to licence it out to a boutique label to do a release.

If it was that marquee of a title, Arrow certainly wouldn't be doing it dual format only as it's guaranteed sales, and they's be doing more than 1000 copies through their own webstore.

I saw the pic of Scott Spiegel and checked out his filmography on IMDb, Darkman was the only one I thought Arrow might pick up, Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except wasn't listed under that title, otherwise that would've been my first guess

He was interviewed for THE ROOKIE. They could have had DIRTY HARRY but chose THE ROOKIE instead. Other extras will include a 'How to be an Annoying Twat: An interview with Charlie Sheen' and a Clint Eastwood interview conducted by a chair.

That is likely but bear in mind Spiegel is one of the talking heads on the Pieces extras and he has nothing to do with that (likewise the commentary track on Code Red's The Weekend Murders)

Yeah that's the one. Released by Arrow under the A Bay of Blood title
