Yes, I am. Further evidence that I don't need to go multi-region on Blu just yet. As soon as multi-region becomes the norm for BD then I'm in. But region-free players (especially here in the UK) seem a bit scarce at the moment - multi-region hackable players are the exception rather than the rule.

But yeah, being locked I'm happy to snap up these Arrow releases. Especially as it's only really been these Bava's that have made me seriously consider multi-region, being a huge Bava fan and all that. Thankfully Arrow have come to the rescue.

I'm sure Blu-ray.com will describe me as a dancing seal or whatever now.

Just my belated opinions, but this Q is the best in memory.
There are only 3 title's i'm not liable to pick up on day one, and even them i'll settle for a sale price. All great, IMHO.

FFS Arrow stop upsetting the Region 'A' people and release stuff they want

*Before I get the usual 'why don't you buy a Region A player' well I had one and it broke and I can't be bothered forking out for another one.

I will be picking up Django and Dead End. Not seen that particular Django so nice one. Always liked Dead End and never owned it. Have the Bava's on DVD and don't love them enough to double dip. Not interested in the Metzger films.

Those Bava's look very tasty, glad i held off the US discs !

I've got a few questions/suggestions;

On the specs for 'Black Sunday' a deleted scene is mentioned, now i'm guessing that this is the scene only included in the Italian varient, can you please keep it in the film and not remove it, maybe a branching option....this would make this release definitive !

I wonder if it's possible to include a branching option on 'Lisa and the Devil' to also include the more violent killings from the 'House of Exorcism' version and create a true directors cut, amazingly no one has ever done this before !

The reversible sleeve contains the original poster, which one ? the Italian 2-fogli, 4-fogli or US art ?

Are any more Bava's planned i'd love to see the AIP versions of 'The Girl Who Knew Too Much'/'The Evil Eye' and 'The Three Faces of Fear'/'Black Sabbath' these would make great extras !

'Blood and Black Lace' PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

Love the Metzger covers, sadly already have the US releases, any chance of posters for these !

Good luck with these, great news !

That wouldn't be a 'true director's cut' though. Lisa and the Devil is the film Bava made and is the true cut of the film (even that love scene that was an extra on the old Image DVD wasn't shot by Bava). House of Exorcism simply reuses footage from Lisa along with some newly shot footage to include a demonic possession. So, in my mind, both versions should be kept completely separate anyway.
