Got any other books you want rid of?

The woman in waterstones told me that the new DVD Delirium had been delayed.:(

I received an E-Mail from FAB Press the other day informing me that DVDD4 has been slightly delayed but copies are expected to be ready by next Thursday. Let's hope so.:)

My copy was waiting for me when i got home earlier and i'll be giving the book the once over hopefully tonight. FAB Press publications maintain a high standard of excellence and i'm confident DVDD4 will be another essential addition to the relevant series.:)

Yeah there are quite a few books I want to get from FAB press

Splatterdragon73 27th August 2010 10:34 AM

I had a quick look through DVDD4 last night and so far, so good.
I wouldn't say there were too many movies mentioned that interested me personally. But the same high standard of research and effort present in the previous three volumes (or four if you count the redux release of the first tome.) is also evident here.

I noticed there seems to be a fair few Turkish exploitation DVDs reviewed and erotic cinema also appears well covered too. Moreso than in the earlier books where the latter is concerned, i thought. Also, a selection of the BFI's DVD and BR output is evaluated and some Shameless titles are also exposed but i can't recall any of Arrow's recent releases getting a mention.

True to the tome's promise, there were indeed some cinematic oddities assessed that i hadn't heard of and i suppose that can only be a good thing for collectors of weird and wonderful movies.

I'll be perusing a few pages nightly until i'm finished reading the reviews relevant to my film interests and imo DVDD4 remains another must-have FAB Press publication. And no, i'm not on Harvey Fenton's payroll!:)
