I'd like to know too as his publications were good to read but it sadly seems as if England's answer to the late Chas. Balun has slipped off the literary radar imo.

Yeah, I really enjoyed his writing style and if it wasn't for him I don't think I would of got into giallos as much as I did. Did you ever read his interview with Xtro director Harry Bromley Davenport in The Dark Side? One of the funniest things I have ever read.

I picked up a forgotten gem that I used to borrow from my local library about 20 years ago, it's called The Modern Horror Film by John McCarty, great book of film reviews from The Curse of Frankenstein(1957) to Lair of the White Worm(1988) with stops on the way for the Romero Trilogy, the Fly(1986) and The Exorcist. It was this book that introduced me to many of the classic films that I love and as a 12 year old horror fan I was desperate to see the gems contained in this book, highly recommended

If, as it seems, this is the same book, I'm not sure why the hardback one is cheaper.
